Experience top-tier canine training with our modern approach focusing on tracking, obedience, and protection, ensuring peak performance with enthusiasm and clarity.

Our Mission

Schutzengel Working Dog Club is dedicated to utilizing modern training techniques to enhance the performance of dogs in tracking, obedience, and protection. We aim to ensure that every dog reaches its full potential with enthusiasm and clarity of mind. As trainers and handlers we are working hard to teach our dogs to be thinking dogs, to understand the tasks at hand, and to eliminate any conflict that could damage the dog/handler bond. Done correctly IPG training showcases one of the highest levels of teamwork you can ever witness between a handler and dog while simultaneously proving the dogs genetic worth as you clearly see instinct in action.

Training Approach

Our training philosophy integrates the latest advancements in learning theory to develop intelligent, responsive dogs. We focus on nurturing a strong bond between dog and handler, maximizing teamwork and minimizing conflicts.

IGP Dedication and Commitment

Considering joining?

IGP is a sport that requires as well as working together to succeed. A club atmosphere allows our dogs to train under simulated trial conditions and gives each handler the advantage of feedback and discussion of performance.
Practices are held weekly (Saturday morning) and handlers are encouraged to work together outside of official practices, as this sport requires daily reinforcement of learned skills. IGP is a physically demanding sport and as such you should speak with your veterinarian before participating to make certain your dog can participate safely.

If you are interested in training with our club, you must attend and be on the training field for 4 consecutive weeks to observe and learn the IGP sport. If after the 4 week period you are still interested in IPG, you may then bring your dog.
